Avida Estate is a luxury real estate agency on the Costa del Sol. This policy explains how we handle personal data collected through avidaestate.com.

2. What we collect

Information you give us. When you submit an enquiry, request a valuation, save a property, subscribe to property alerts or sign up to our newsletter, we collect the details you enter. Depending on the form this includes your name, email address, telephone number, country, the property or area you are interested in, your budget or rental expectations, details about a property you wish to sell or let, and any message you write.

Information collected automatically. When you visit the site, our servers and our analytics provider receive your IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, language, the pages you view, how long you stay, and the website or advertisement that brought you here.

Information stored in your browser. We use cookies and similar technologies. Section 7 lists them individually.

We do not knowingly collect special categories of data such as health, religion or political opinions, and we ask you not to include such information in free text fields.

Every enquiry form carries a consent checkbox. If it is not ticked, the form is not sent and no data is passed to our customer relationship system.

If you go on to instruct us on a purchase, sale or letting, further processing applies, including checks required of estate agents under Spanish anti money laundering legislation. That processing is explained separately at the time.

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing.

5. International transfers

Some of the providers above are based outside the European Economic Area. Where that is the case we rely either on the European Commission's adequacy decision for the EU to US Data Privacy Framework, or on Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission, together with additional safeguards where appropriate. 8. Your rights

9. Security

Data submitted through the site is transmitted over an encrypted connection. Access to our systems is restricted to the people who need it, and is protected by individual accounts. No system is perfectly secure, and we will notify you and the supervisory authority as required by law if a breach is likely to affect your rights.

10. Children

The site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 14, the age of digital consent in Spain. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

11. External links

Our site links to other websites, including property portals, social media and Google Maps. We are not responsible for how those sites handle your data, and we encourage you to read their own privacy policies.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services or the law change. The date at the top shows when it was last revised. If a change materially affects how we use your data, we will bring it to your attention on the site and, where the law requires, ask for your consent again.
